MERLIN Institute. Access2Bone is a partner of a ViDi project led by Professor Pamela Habibovic. The project, titled Bone Microfactory, discovered fundamentally new and improved biomaterials for bone regeneration by developing a novel platform for the combinatorial production of materials and their high-throughput screening.
Radboud University. Access2Bone is a partner in a ViCi project led by Prof. Sander van Leeuwenburg at the University of Nijmegen. This project works on developing Colloidal self-healing biomaterials for the effective treatment of bone infections. Unraveling the link between nanoparticle mobility, cell migration, and nanoparticle uptake by cells, these basic insights will be translated into a commercially viable antibacterial biomaterial that will outperform conventional antibacterial biomaterials by far.
RegMedXB. Access2Bone is a ‘Regenerative Medicine Crossing Borders’ (RegMed XB) member. RegMed XB brings together multiple universities, top scientists, entrepreneurs, and governments to cooperatively tackle ambitious challenges in regenerative medicine. At RegMed XB, research and clinical translation are integrated to transfer research results into patient solutions. Here, Access2Bone participates in the osteoarthritis project run by Prof. Keita Ito. The project has enabled RegMed XB partners to come together to take the first steps towards a bioengineered joint as a treatment and possible cure for osteoarthritis of the knee.
